Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for an Orthopedics operating room position requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent full-time OR experience
Details
- Hospital operating room setting within the Orthopedic Service Line
- Supports all types of orthopedic procedures including total joint arthroplasties (hip, knee, shoulder, ankle), fracture repair, arthroscopic and sports medicine cases
- Weekday schedule of five shifts from 0645 to 1515
- May require arrival as early as 5:45am to accommodate case start times of 6:30am
- Periodic floating to other services based on departmental needs
- Participation in on-call coverage after normal business hours and on weekends
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a Surgical Technologist in a high-volume hospital setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of orthopedic surgical procedures
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment (if applicable)
- Two verifiable references from prior travel assignments confirming no additional training was required
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment without extensive onboarding

- Work in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to quickly adapt without extensive orientation
- Must be comfortable with early arrival times to ensure on-time case starts
