CGP: Interim AP Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client who is a large company in City of Industry, seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Manager for 3-5 month engagement for a Hybrid role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $55 to $60 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of Accounts Payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Ensure all AP processes comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain internal controls.
• Manage month/year end close process, review of P&L variances, and perform accurate and timely reconciliation of Accounts Payable sub-ledger to General Ledger.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and resolving escalated issues related to payments and discrepancies.
• Lead and mentor AP Team (5-8 team members), providing guidance and support for high performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Coordinate with and manage internal and external audits.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years in AP managerial role with oversight of team larger than 5
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
• Proven leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle)

Experience:

• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, team members, and senior management.
