Scrum Master

Overview The Scrum Master will support agile delivery for the ITA AI Center of Excellence by enabling high-performing development teams and ensuring adherence to Scrum and SAFe Agile principles. This role focuses on facilitation, coordination, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability. Responsibilities Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions. Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles and practices. Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritization. Promote transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Coordinate with stakeholders and other delivery teams. Track and report team performance metrics. Support integration of Agile practices across programs. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience) U.S. Citizenship (required). Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI or higher background investigation. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator. Strong facilitation and communication skills. Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments. Desired Qualifications Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master). Experience supporting federal IT programs. Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools. Experience working with AI or software development teams. Work Location: Remote preferred with occasional on-site support in Washington, DC, as required.
