Field Service Engineer II - Durham. NC or Research Triangle Area

The Field Service Engineer II supports customers, impacting patient health and well-being, working remotely from Durham, NC in a fast-paced service organization that aims to be world-class. What you will do Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments. Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies. Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives & service team members with system configurations/upgrades, and provide feedback on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenue Essential qualifications Associate’s degree with 3+ years of field service experience or related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Science with 1+ year of experience or related field OR Equivalent military experience (Applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis) Travel, motor vehicle & physical/environment requirements Ability to travel – up to 90%, including frequent overnights Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb. Preferred qualifications Diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments Field Service Engineering and/or Networking/IT system upgrades Experience in a lab or hospital environment Work arrangement, compensation & benefits The position is eligible for remote work from your home. Additional information about this remote work arrangement will be provided by your interview team. The hourly range for this role is $30.00 - $43.00. This is the range believed to be the range of possible compensation at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
