Job Description The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing in vivo studies in the fields of infectious diseases and vaccines. The role will involve small animal handling and work including: Designing & implementing animal models of pathogenic infection models in mice and vaccine immunigenicity studies in various animal species. Hands‑on execution of in vivo studies involving infection, monitoring viremia, monitoring immune response and tissue collection. Proficiency in preparation and dosing of agents via multiple routes of administration (including IM, PO, IP, SC, IN, and IV). Evaluation and implementation of novel in vivo techniques and technologies. Detailed record keeping of all experimental information in electronic lab notebooks. Basic Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with biological sciences, toxicology, or a related field with 1-2 years of small animal handling experience (mice, guinea pigs, rabbits) OR a Master’s degree in biological sciences, toxicology, or a related field with 0-1 year of small animal handling experience (mice, guinea pigs, rabbits) Experience with rodent handling and injections via the intraperitoneal (IP) and intracranial (IC) routes, intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV), and subcutaneous (SQ) routes of administration, observations. Experience with rodent observations of physical signs, differentiating and understanding normal rodent behavior and behavior induced due to compound effects. Experience with gross examinations and necropsy. Knowledge of cGMPs and experience working in a GMP environment. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship The ideal candidate would possess : Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies Experience working on Biologics Release Testing in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Experience with gross examinations and necropsy. Additional Information This position is Full‑Time, Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m with overtime as needed and the potential for some off‑shift hours, depending on the project.
