Toscana Divino Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chef de Cuisine to lead daily kitchen operations at one of our upscale hospitality locations. This role is responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality food, maintaining exceptional sanitation and organization standards, developing and leading the culinary team, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and profitably.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all back-of-house operations, including prep, line service, plating, closing procedures, and kitchen organization.
• Ensure consistent execution of all recipes, presentation standards, portion control, and food quality.
• Train, coach, schedule, and hold accountable kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and stewards.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, rotation, and waste control.
• Monitor food cost, labor cost, and kitchen performance while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management team on menu execution, specials, events, seasonal offerings, and resident/client preferences.
• Conduct daily line checks, temperature logs, product quality checks, and staff briefings.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of all kitchen equipment; promptly report repair or safety concerns.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful work environment across the culinary and front-of-house teams.
• Support recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and performance management for kitchen employees.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of culinary leadership experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or comparable role in an upscale restaurant, hotel, private club, or luxury residential environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse culinary team.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Italian, Mediterranean, contemporary American, or international cuisine is preferred.
• Food Handler and ServSafe Manager certifications preferred or required upon hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; Italian is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
