Service: We deliver high-quality services and access to care that uplifts our communities. The Role TCA Health is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, financial reporting, grant accounting, and audit preparation. What You'll Do Prepare and post accurate, timely journal entries to the general ledger Perform monthly account and balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll, benefits, prepaid, and accrual accounts Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Review transactions to ensure accurate classification of revenues and expenses Prepare financial schedules, reports, budget-to-actual reporting, and analysis Support accounting and reporting for federal, state, and private grants and restricted funding Support annual audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to requests Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls in compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting requirements Research and resolve discrepancies in partnership with Finance and other departments Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, including general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations Working knowledge of GAAP Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong attention to detail and organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Clear written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance colleagues Ability to work independently and as part of a team Discretion with confidential financial and organizational information Nice to Have Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or FQHC setting Experience with grant accounting, restricted funding, fund accounting, or Uniform Guidance Experience supporting financial audits What We Offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with up to 4% employer match after one year of employment Employer-paid Life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance 15 days of PTO Nine (9) paid holidays per year Why TCA Health Here, your work keeps the funding behind our patient care accurate, compliant, and strong.
