About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Facilities Services to provide executive leadership and technical direction in the operations and maintenance of its extensive physical plant and grounds. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective delivery of facility services, including building operations, maintenance and repair, grounds and event support, and 24/7 customer service response. This role involves overseeing a large and diverse building portfolio, from complex science and research facilities to basic farm buildings, and ensuring that facility services are aligned with and effectively support the company's living, learning, and research activities. The Executive Director will also be tasked with managing a substantial annual budget, preparing and managing budget requests, and leading a workforce of approximately 140 staff. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years' experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years' experience. A minimum of 5-7 years' in facility operations and maintenance, as well as a minimum of 5 years' of supervisory experience, is required. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in building systems design, operation, and maintenance, and registration as a professional engineer or architect. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing facility service contracts, overseeing a large budget, and leading a diverse workforce to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective facility services.
