Heavy Equipment Operator

2nd shift. 3:45pm - 2:15am

Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators safely and efficiently to perform tasks including digging, trenching, grading, and material movement.
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs or malfunctions.
• Adhere to job, specifications, and safety protocols while completing assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
• Load materials using the excavator or other assigned equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proficiency in operating excavators and similar heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with construction site protocols, safety standards, and equipment operations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in varying weather conditions and terrains.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and instructions.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for performing equipment checks and minor maintenance.
