Heavy Equipment Operator

No digging! No Earth moving! Reliable Excavator Operator proficient in executing efficient material handling tasks using excavator grapple attachments. Experienced in managing night-shift workflows. Committed to maximizing productivity while maintaining a zero-accident safety record.

$23-$27/hr DOE

6:00 PM until 5:00 AM (overtime and weekends)

Job Responsibilities

• Operate an excavator equipped with a grapple attachment to move recycling materials efficiently and safely from one location to another.
• Ensure proper handling and placement of materials to maintain operational flow and site organization.
• Perform routine inspections of the excavator to ensure it is in good working condition, identifying and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet operational goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with site regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience operating an excavator.
• Proficiency in using an excavator with a grapple attachment for material handling tasks.
• Knowledge of equipment operation safety standards and procedures.
• Physical ability to work a 6 PM to 5 AM shift and perform tasks in a recycling or industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
