Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Implement individual speech therapy sessions that focus on communication abilities, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing function.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to foster progress outside of clinical environments.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout clients' treatments.
  • Keep precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in your field through continuous learning and peer collaboration.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic strategies for all age groups, with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
