Payments Business Analyst

Role Overview We are seeking a passionate and driven Payments Business Analyst to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge fintech solutions, contribute to high-impact projects, and collaborate with talented professionals across the organization. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. Work with banks and internal stakeholders to understand payment processing needs. Support implementation of payment products across ACH, Fedwire, RTP, FedNow, and SWIFT. Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement walkthroughs. Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the SDLC. Support UAT, production issue analysis, and client escalations. Conduct gap analysis and recommend product enhancements. Ensure solutions comply with industry standards and payment regulations. Required Qualifications 10 +years of experience in Banking or Payments. Strong Business Analyst understanding of ACH, Fedwire, RTP, FedNow, and SWIFT payment processing. Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment messaging. Experience writing user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and acceptance criteria. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with payment hubs or payment modernization platforms. Knowledge of compliance, sanctions screening, OFAC, AML, and fraud controls. Experience with APIs, payment integrations, and file-based payment processing.
