Consulting Member of Technical Staff OCI

Salary: $135,200 - 306,400 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for engineers with strong hands-on experience solving complex problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services.
• We need someone with 10+ years of software development experience in large-scale distributed environments.
• We require proficiency in Java, C, or C++, along with scripting experience in languages such as Python or Perl.
• We value experience building and supporting large-scale, highly distributed service infrastructure.
• We look for experience in operational settings with mission-critical, tier-one live-site support.
• We need a systematic approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, ownership, and drive.
• We expect experience designing architectures that show deep expertise in one area or span multiple products, supporting high availability, scalability, flexibility, and future business needs.
• We require the ability to clearly communicate technical ideas in speech and writing, including proposals, design documents, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
• We prefer knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems fundamentals, and cloud-native development.
• We prefer familiarity with cloud identity, operating system internals, networking protocols such as TCP/IP and and standard network architectures.
• We prefer strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capability.
• Experience building multi-tenant, high-fidelity platform services such as identity is a plus.

• We own the software design and development for major components of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• We define and evolve standard engineering practices and procedures.
• We develop software for designing, building, and debugging applications and operating systems.
• We work across the stack, from low-level system details to broad distributed system interactions.
• We collaborate in an agile environment and contribute with simplicity, scalability, and a willingness to learn.
• We build large-scale distributed infrastructure for the cloud.
• We help shape and deliver platform services, including Identity and Access Management.
