If you enjoy solving problems and building relationships in a dynamic, industrial environment, **we want to meet you!**A **Counter Sales Associate** will partner with our customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies. You will serve as a trusted guide, **advising customers** on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to successfully complete their projects. By demonstrating equipment use and sharing insights on product quality, you **help our customers** pioneer new solutions in their own work.* **Responsible for adherence to company policies** including safety and the use of personal protective equipment to ensure a secure environment for everyone.* **Provides excellent customer service** to both internal and external partners, fostering understanding and long-term relationships.* **Ensures**all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.* **Partners with customers** to identify the best tools and procedures for their specific tasks; demonstrates equipment use to build customer confidence.* **Manages order entry and processes transactions**; assists the team with the reconciliation of deposits.* **Coordinates**via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.* **Contributes**to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.* **Coordinates the transfer of merchandise** between locations to meet customer needs.* **Maintains a positive work atmosphere** by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues.* **Stocks shelves and maintains**welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.* **Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization**## \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_## ## Are you a MATCH?**Required Qualifications:*** **HS Diploma**or equivalent required.* **Minimum of 1+ years of experience** in a retail or customer service environment, with exposure to industrial sales or a related field considered a plus.* Must be able to operate in a **drug-free workplace.*** Capable of **moving items up to 50 pounds regularly**, and **125 pounds** using material handling equipment or assistance as needed.* **Excellent customer service skills** and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.* Comfortable using **basic math and computer tools, including POS systems** (training provided).* Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.* **Attention to detail** in handling transactions.* Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.**Preferred Qualifications:*** A background in gas, welding, or safety supplies is a wonderful asset.* Familiarity with **SAP, Google, or MS Office Applications**.* A **valid driver's license** is helpful for this role.* A detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.* **Forklift certification is welcomed**, and full training will be provided upon hire.* The ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_**Benefits**We care about and support our Airgas Families.
