Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for children, adults, and seniors using established assessment tools and hands-on observation.
• Create tailored therapy strategies that prioritize both immediate objectives and comprehensive communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on aspects like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Partner with multi-disciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise holistic treatment plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to reinforce progress attained beyond clinical appointments.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring a seamless care experience throughout the therapy journey.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Engage in continuous education and collaboration with colleagues to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
