Description

• Conduct assessments for individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tools and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions centered on verbal communication, language skills, fluency, voice control, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate with a multifaceted team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Support inpatient services with occasional evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Ensure meticulous documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

• Obtained a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
