Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Heart of Texas - Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist! Overview What if your next professional journey allowed you to give voice to purpose - literally? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Texas's most dynamic communities, your contributions will go beyond addressing communication and swallowing challenges. You will unlock potential, restore confidence, and foster human connection - from toddlers discovering their first syllables to seniors reclaiming their independence. This is a unique opportunity to cater to a diverse range of individuals across various age groups in a setting that harmonizes outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Whether your passion lies in pediatric language development, adult neurogenic communication disorders, or geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find both satisfaction and flexibility in this role. Description - Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments along with observational methods. - Formulate personalized treatment plans that tackle short-term objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. - Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. - Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft cohesive care strategies. - Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress outside of therapy sessions. - Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. - Keep abreast of advances in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. - Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications - State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. - Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills - Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. - Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. - Ability to adapt therapy approaches to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic requirements. - Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving capabilities. - Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards. Benefits - Competitive salary that reflects experience. - Flexible scheduling options promoting work-life balance and diverse caseloads. - Opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric care. - Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation. - Health, dental, vision, and life insurance offerings. - Tuition reimbursement for continuing education and support for professional development. - A collaborative, team-oriented workplace dedicated to quality care and ongoing learning. A Career That Moves with You - and Moves You In this position, you won't merely provide speech therapy - you'll become part of a community-focused mission to revive voices, enhance communication, and frame moments of joy through the most fundamental human interactions: understanding and being understood. You'll collaborate with clinicians who regard one another as family in an environment that values cooperation over rivalry. Every patient has a unique story; we'll entrust you with the ability to influence how their narratives are expressed. Why You'll Love Living and Working Here Life in this part of Texas offers a blend of innovation and warm hospitality. Tucked amid the picturesque landscapes of Grand Prairie, this area is a sanctuary for those yearning for a balance between nature, culture, and growth. Families delight in gathering under lush green trees for live music and leisurely picnics, while outdoor enthusiasts explore the scenic trails, paddle through sparkling waters, or enjoy weekends at local wineries and farmers' markets. Culinary adventurers indulge in everything from street tacos at food trucks to gourmet dining experiences at acclaimed restaurants. The vibrant spirit of creativity pulsates in every mural, resonates in each live venue, and is celebrated in festivals that unite people from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, for professionals, the advantages extend beyond lifestyle - with no state income tax, an affordable cost of living, and a thriving healthcare ecosystem, this region sets the stage for careers to burgeon and prosper. Whether you're an industry newcomer or a seasoned professional looking to diversify your experience, this community offers a nurturing atmosphere for personal and professional growth. Who We're Looking For We're in search of a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by outcomes, but also by empathy. Someone who perceives a quiet child and envisions a future of self-expression, who understands the efforts of a stroke survivor and recognizes their determination. You might be a pediatric expert wishing to broaden your impact into adult care - or a specialist in neuro-based therapy looking to incorporate early intervention into your practice. Regardless of your passion, if you're prepared to serve authentically and lead with proficiency, we are excited to welcome you. Let's Find the Right Words - Together If you believe that speech encompasses more than mere sound, and that therapy is more than tasks - if you appreciate the importance of trust prior to addressing challenges, and see the value in laughter alongside language - then this opportunity might represent the next meaningful chapter in your professional journey. Join us in a community that elevates communication, connection, and the courage it takes to embark on new beginnings. Apply today and lend your voice to our team - helping others rediscover theirs.
