About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations within the organization. This hands-on role is pivotal in providing strategic financial leadership and will involve direct oversight of accounting, financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, and banking relationships. The successful candidate will be a key business partner to executive leadership, driving profitability, operational efficiency, and scalable growth. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Finance include leading the accounting and finance functions, developing and monitoring KPIs, and partnering with various departments to enhance business performance. The role also entails preparing financial statements, driving the annual budgeting process, and presenting financial results to the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Finance position at the company will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience. A background in distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, consumer products, or inventory-intensive environments is essential, as is a strong understanding of inventory valuation, purchasing, logistics, and supply chain finance. The role requires experience in leading budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting, as well as a proven ability to support owner-operated or privately held businesses. Proficiency in ERP systems, with Sage 100 being a plus, and experience in using AI to enhance workflows and data analysis, are also desirable. The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for strengthening internal controls, financial processes, and systems infrastructure, and will be expected to manage and mentor the accounting and finance staff.
