Step into a dynamic school-based contract role for the full academic year supporting a dedicated caseload of 21 speech students. This opportunity is located near Lockport, NY, within a district committed to in-person excellence—virtual/VOCO support is not an option, as the school’s focus is entirely on onsite, hands-on instruction for students.
Your workweek will consist of 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday, with your day beginning at 8:55 AM EST and concluding by 4:45 PM EST, minus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This schedule covers both direct and indirect service time, ensuring a well-balanced approach to student care and required documentation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active ASHA CCC certification.
- At least two years of prior experience in a school setting.
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Confidence providing independent assessment and therapy with minimal guidance.
- Passion for making a difference and adaptability to jump in and make an immediate impact.
Position Duties:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic services to a caseload of 21 students.
- Maintain all required documentation and manage IEP paperwork efficiently.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, balancing therapy, consultation, and reporting responsibilities.
- Engage actively in school-based meetings and contribute as a valued team member.
