Help students reach their full communication potential in a dynamic school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Two full-time contract positions are now open to cover leaves of absence starting this fall and winter, providing support in high school, middle school, and non-public school environments. These roles are exclusively onsite.
Details for Each Opportunity:
- First position: Full-time from the start of October to the end of January (12 weeks) serving primarily a high school, with some work at a non-public school (approximately 70/30 split).
- Second position: Full-time from end of November to end of January (12 weeks) at a middle school site.
- Both roles include 7-8 student sessions per day, scheduled planning time, and an assigned free lunch duty.
Desired Experience and Certifications:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- State teaching certification plus appropriate licensure for NY
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to provide services across different ages and school environments
- Ability to work exclusively onsite for the entirety of the contract
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and deliver therapy services to assigned students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Consult with educators and families on student language and communication needs
- Maintain accurate records per school and district guidelines
- Participate in school-team meetings and provide support as needed during the school day
