Business Analyst Responsibilities Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including brokers, clients, and internal teams, to gather and document business requirements for the broker portal website. Functional Analysis: Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring they align with the portal's goals and objectives. User Stories and Use Cases: Create user stories, use cases, and process flows to capture the end-to-end user journey and system interactions. Feature Prioritization: Work with stakeholders to prioritize website features, functionalities, and enhancements based on business value and customer needs. UI/UX Collaboration: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure the portal's user interface and user experience meet industry standards and user expectations. Data Analysis: Analyze and define data requirements, including data sources, data transformations, and reporting needs for the portal. Quality Assurance: Define test cases and collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the portal's functionality is thoroughly tested and meets quality standards. Change Management: Support change management processes to facilitate a smooth transition during portal updates and improvements. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications. Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and effective communication to stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of project progress and outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in web portal or web application projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Understanding of the insurance or brokerage industry is a plus. Skills Business requirements gathering and analysis. Use case and user story creation. UI/UX collaboration and design principles. Data analysis and reporting requirements. Quality assurance and testing coordination. Documentation and communication. Change management processes. Knowledge of web technologies and applications. Familiarity with the insurance or brokerage industry (preferred).
