Location: The Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus, OH

Start Date: 11/16/2026

End Date: 02/15/2027

Shift: Night shift, rotating between early and late (5:00 pm – 5:30 am)

Hours per Week: 36 hours (3 x 12-hour shifts)

Employment Type: Contract / Temporary

Licensure/Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred

Experience: Minimum of 2 years PACU or post-op experience; Epic experience required

Hourly Rate: $59.18 per hour

Pay Package: Competitive pay, paid weekly via direct deposit

What You'll Do

• Provide post-anesthesia care for cardiac, vascular, and outpatient surgery patients
• Monitor patient recovery, vital signs, and overall status during shift
• Respond swiftly to patient needs and emergencies using advanced clinical skills
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
• Participate in unit teamwork, safety initiatives, and quality improvement activities

What You Need

• Valid Texas or Ohio RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years PACU or Post-op experience
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Ability to work night shift and handle patient ratios of 1:1

• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers or outpatient surgery
• ACLS certification
• Prior charge nurse experience

About the Assignment Join a prominent hospital in Columbus, Ohio, renowned for its heart and vascular care services. This unit handles complex procedures such as CABG, AAA repair, TAVR, EVAR, fem-pop/fem-tib-peroneal bypass, angiograms, pulmonary decortication, and ablation.
