Radiology Tech - Interventional Radiology Tech

Interventional Radiology Technologist
Length of contract: 13 weeks. On-call: Yes, up to 10 days per month when fully staffed, typically 2 days per week. Guaranteed Hours: 36.
Active Illinois x-ray license from IEMA. ARRT certification in Radiology. 3 years of technical experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab.
Perform diagnostic radiographic exams. Utilize PACS and EMR systems. Conduct interventional procedures per established protocols. Maintain appropriate IV and contrast competency. Follow established protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection. Communicate effectively with all involved in the patient care process. Must be able to assist with general x-ray procedures when no interventional radiology procedures are being performed. Training may be provided for candidates with Cath Lab experience.
