Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

Sr. AP Accountant

Sparks Group has teamed with a government contractor and is searching for a qualified, committed and motivated Sr. AP Accountant. The Sr. AP Accountant will be responsible for preparation and consolidation of Financial Statements, help implement highly-visible process improvements within the Accounts Payables process, and meticulous AP Vendor Database processing using ERP's like Concur, Oracle and/or Fusion. Responsibilities :

Prepare and analyze Accounts Payables, journal entries, income statement, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports for the AP team on a regular basis
Analyze statements and review/approve any proposed adjustments, prepare audit schedules and communicate with auditors
Assist with implementing highly-visible process improvements within the Accounts Payables team procedures to increase efficiency.
Apply knowledge of laws and regulations and ensure compliance to regulations, policies and procedures
Provide input and support the development of verbal, analytical, and visual presentation materials for Executive Management
Support multiple projects, identify opportunities, and carry out ad hoc tasks

Qualifications/Background Profile :

5-7+ years of experience in Accounts Payables within a large organization
Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in large ERP/T&E expense reporting and accounts payable software, specifically Concur
Oracle Fusion software experience is a plus
