Position Overview

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position involves providing respiratory care services to patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient care within a clinical setting. This role requires a commitment to excellence and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per established protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and therapeutic interventions.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment plans.
• Assist in the supervision and training of staff as required.
• Float to multiple locations within the region as needed, adapting to varying departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current license to practice as an RRT in Ohio.
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification obtained prior to submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in hand at the time of submission.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and float to different locations as needed.

Work Schedule

This position typically follows a night shift schedule, providing care over three 12-hour shifts per week.
