About Our Client
We're supporting a growing T&D engineering group delivering large-scale transmission expansion and grid modernization projects across Nevada. This team is leading the design of new high-voltage lines, major system upgrades, and infrastructure needed to support renewable generation and increasing load demand.
Job Description
- Lead transmission line design using PLS-CADD / PLS-POLE / PLS-TOWER
- Perform and review advanced sag & tension, structure loading, and clearance analysis
- Provide technical oversight and QA/QC for design packages
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
- Interface with utilities, clients, and project stakeholders
- Support construction, field issues, and engineering problem-solving
What You'll Be Working On
- Design and oversight of EHV/HV transmission lines (230kV-500kV+)
- Greenfield line development and long-distance corridor design
- Line uprating, reconductoring, and system reliability improvements
- Transmission infrastructure supporting renewable integration and grid expansion
- Cross-functional coordination with substation, civil, and permitting teams
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Transmission Line Engineer should have:
- 7-10+ years of transmission line engineering experience
- Strong background in high-voltage/EHV line design (230kV+)
- Expertise in PLS-CADD suite and industry design standards
- Proven experience leading projects or acting as technical lead
- PE license strongly preferred
