Here is a chance for you to make a positive impact - join us in this career opportunity:Finishing Technician (2nd shift 3:00 pm-11:00pm M-F)The role of the Finishing Technician is to assemble, count, package products in specified finished goods packaging, seal packaging, and prep for warehouse picking, all while achieving maximum standards of quality and customer service to drive Continental Plastic (CPC) profitability and organizational KPI's and strategic objectives. Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, responsibilities include: • Support the CPC shipping function. This position is an integral part of the inventory and shipping processes, ensuring that all assigned products are packaged correctly, efficiently, and of the highest quality per customer requirements.•Read and interpret related documentation (schedules, working instructions, specification sheets, inventory records, etc.) required to perform the tasks.•Adhering to the production and shipping schedules, work instructions, and specification sheets, prepare, package, and label assigned products for inventory.• Deliver products received from production to finishing machines, as needed. Inspect and verify incoming products from production, for accuracy and damage.• Pull and stock assembly and packing kits and line supplies. Work at various stations, operating related equipment to assemble, package, and label products. Operate dedicated fixtures, tooling, and hand trucks.•Assist in ensuring the accurate output of our process(es) is to standard in terms of quality and quantity. Inspect assigned products throughout various steps in the process. Identify and report any flaws and/or defects to quality assurance. Successful candidates will possess the following:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Coursework and experience should be supplemented with math, mechanical systems, and customer service. Must possess a basic working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM. Must have a solid working knowledge of applicable safety and OSHA requirements and familiarity with radio frequency (RF) equipment. Obtaining a certification to operate material handling equipment within a week after hire is required. Ability to load/unload/move products using a hand truck/pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment is required. Must possess the ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives; working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint; ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively. Ability to work independently, managing deadlines while maintaining an awareness of other business dependencies, when completing assigned duties.Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret business and technical documents, flow charts, budget information, procedure manuals and so on; the ability to prepare required routine reports and correspondence; ability to communicate effectively with others (verbally and in writing), using skill and diplomacy and have the ability to work with all levels of the organization.In consideration for an offer of employment, you hereby consent to take a drug test and undergo background screens and a baseline physical as part of our hiring process.
