FABRICATION MANAGER

Job Summary
REMA Tip Top is looking for a hands-on Fabrication Manager to oversee our Rubber Lining, Steel Fabrication, and Belt Shops. This role leads daily operations, employees, production, safety, quality, and scheduling while helping improve overall shop performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across three shops
• Schedule and manage production, projects, and manpower
• Lead, train, and develop shop employees and supervisors
• Oversee rubber lining, belt splicing/repair, and steel fabrication work
• Ensure quality, productivity, and safety standards are met
• Maintain inventory, tools, equipment, and materials
• Manage shop costs, budgets, and project profitability
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Field Service, Purchasing, and customers
• Identify ways to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company policies

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, mining, or construction
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience
• Experience with rubber lining, conveyor belts, belt splicing, steel fabrication, or heavy industrial work
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical drawings/specifications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• OSHA/MSHA knowledge preferred
• Valid driver's license

Work Environment
This is a hands-on role working in shop, field, mining, quarry, and industrial environments. The position may involve heavy lifting, noise, dust, uneven surfaces, extreme temperatures, and use of industrial tools and equipment.

Travel
Overnight travel may be required based on business needs.
