About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Debt Originations to spearhead its expansion into California and the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will be tasked with sourcing and executing new lending opportunities, with a primary focus on construction loans, bridge lending, and select permanent financing. This role is pivotal in leading the platform's growth strategy, and the Vice President will be expected to develop and manage a strong deal pipeline through relationships with various real estate and financial intermediaries. Responsibilities also include serving as the main point of contact for borrowers and referral partners, leading transactions from inception to close, and preparing and presenting investment memoranda to internal committees. Applicants for the Vice President, Debt Originations position should have a proven track record in real estate debt origination, with a deep understanding of the West Coast market. The role requires the ability to monitor market conditions, competitive dynamics, and sponsor activity to inform lending strategy and pricing. The ideal candidate will be adept at structuring deals, managing third-party vendors, and working closely with internal teams to ensure the efficient advancement of transactions. A key aspect of the role is to represent the platform at industry events and contribute to the firm's brand presence. The Vice President will also be involved in supporting portfolio management activities, including maintaining borrower relationships and assisting with loan modifications, extensions, and payoffs.
