Marketing Pursuit Manager

What You'll Do Lead and assist with oversight of proposal activities, including leading proposal support staff teams; manage proposal schedules and deadlines, develop proposal outline, and partner with the pursuit champion to monitor progress. Lead and write qualification packages, proposals, and leave‑behind material for pursuits. Collaborate with technical staff and write/review/edit original content for clarity, compliance, and key messages. Work with pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, partner with national resources to drive HNTB’s sales approach, and provide business intelligence on clients, competitors and HNTB. Organize and may facilitate pursuit strategy meetings. Lead the pursuit team on presentation phase, including presentation coaching. Organize and coach technical staff in presentation phase. May lead strategic initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field and 8 years relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience. What You’ll Bring Research and develop actionable win strategies and graphics that address client needs and meet strategic goals. Write original content persuasively and edit text to create compelling and grammatically correct copy for proposals and branding materials, improving proposal organization, readability, completeness, and clarity. Coordinate writing and graphics support services to achieve pursuit objectives and meet deadlines, performing quality and compliance reviews. Prepare presentations and coach interview teams to bring out the best in others. Facilitate large meetings/workshops to produce strategies that connect with what our clients want and need on a given project. Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office software. What We Prefer Transportation industry knowledge and proposal experience. Emotional intelligence and an ability to positively influence others. Proposal experience with Caltrans, LACMTA, LAWA, WSDOT, Denver Airport, and/or contractors. Curiosity and a love of learning.
