Boathouse Attendant/Customer Service Representative

Are you a hard-working, intelligent person who likes being outdoors and interacting with others? If so, we have the perfect job for you! We are looking for energetic individuals for multiple positions on the lake. Water sports Instructors, Dock Attendants, and Customer Service part-time/seasonal positions available for many different skill levels.

The Boathouse Attendant/Customer Service Representativ e provides essential support to recreational boaters, event attendees, and visitors by ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience on and around the water. This role involves maintaining a clean and efficient facility, overseeing boat and equipment readiness, and delivering excellent customer service during day shifts and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with boat rentals, equipment usage, and general inquiries
Maintain boats including kayaks, canoes, motorboats, and sailboats for readiness and safety
Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper function and safety compliance
Monitor facility safety and address potential hazards promptly
Manage inventory of boats, equipment, and supplies
Keep the boathouse and surrounding areas clean and organized
Resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally
Communicate effectively with team members and customers to enhance service quality

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in customer service
High school diploma or equivalent
US Sailing Instructor Certification - Not Required
CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification
Strong skills in customer service and conflict resolution
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Good time management and attention to detail

Required Skills

Friendly personality who likes to interact with customers -
Communication skills to relay safety information and instructions to help rst time customers
Willingness to learn new skills-
Customer Service focused
Ability to stand for 4+ hours at a time
Water sports experience not required but is a plus!
First Aid/CPR- Certification required for respective instructional position (eg: US Sailing Small Boat instructor, WS instructor, ACA)
