The Opportunity: Mayo Clinic in Arizona seeks a Chair of the Division of Endocrinology. As the Phoenix campus expands, this leader will shape the division within a premier academic medical center, guiding clinical practice, research, and education. The Division: The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism, and Nutrition advances diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of endocrine and metabolic diseases through patient care, education, and research. It serves patients across Mayo Clinic locations in Arizona, Florida, Minnesota, and the Mayo Clinic Health System, offering a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach and specialized services in diabetes technology, transplant‑related diabetes management, bone metabolism, advanced endocrine testing and therapies, and multidisciplinary clinics. Research and Training: The division benefits from Mayo Clinic’s research infrastructure and a large academic enterprise. It collaborates with Mayo Clinic and other institutions to support investigator‑initiated studies and clinical trials. The Arizona campus participates in the Mayo Clinic–Arizona State University Alliance for Health Care, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in diabetes, AI, digital health, biomarker discovery, and emerging technologies. The Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will be a nationally respected endocrinologist and academic leader with a track record in clinical excellence, research innovation, education, and faculty development. The role requires vision, collaborative leadership, and strategic thinking to advance the division across clinical practice, research, and education. Qualifications: MD, DO, or MD/PhD with board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism; eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Arizona; prior leadership experience in an academic setting; scholarly accomplishments appropriate for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor; minimum of 10+ years of experience post‑fellowship; demonstrated commitment to transformative innovation; evidence of effective mentorship of junior faculty; outstanding clinical performance with a track record of high‑quality outcomes.
