Floor Manager – Upscale Dining & Nightlife Venue 

Edgewater, NJ

A high-energy, upscale restaurant and nightlife destination in Edgewater is seeking an experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

This role is responsible for managing the dining room floor during service, supporting staff performance, and ensuring seamless coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The ideal candidate is a strong hospitality leader who thrives in high-volume, high-energy service environments and excels at guest engagement, team leadership, and real-time problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily floor operations including guest flow, seating, and service execution

• Supervise FOH staff including servers, hosts, bartenders, and support team members

• Ensure high standards of hospitality, service timing, and guest satisfaction

• Act as primary point of contact for guest relations and service recovery

• Coordinate closely with kitchen leadership to ensure smooth communication and execution

• Support scheduling, staffing, and shift management needs

• Monitor cleanliness, ambiance, and overall dining room presentation

• Assist in training, coaching, and developing FOH team members

• Help drive revenue through service efficiency, upselling, and guest engagement

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in restaurant floor management or FOH supervisory roles

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage high-volume service periods

• Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills

• Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, high-energy environments

• Experience in upscale casual or nightlife-style dining strongly preferred

• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and peak service hours
