Structural MIG Welder - 1st Shift

Position Title: Structural MIG Welder

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Overtime may be required)

Work Environment: Manufacturing Facility / Open Shop Environment

We are seeking a skilled Structural MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding structural steel components according to blueprints, work orders, and quality standards. This position is performed in an open shop environment and requires the ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently while maintaining production goals.

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Measure, fit, and align materials prior to welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with other fabrication and production duties as assigned.

• Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience welding structural steel preferred.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and levels.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and work in various positions.
• Comfortable working in an open shop manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and moving equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
