Work Environment

This role will be conducted primarily in the homes of patients within Clearwater and surrounding areas. Working hours will typically be Monday through Friday in a 40-hour work week, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians, identifying specific needs and establishing tailored treatment plans.
• Implement effective therapeutic interventions, employing evidence-based practices to maximize functional outcomes.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for patients and their families.
• Collaborate with a broader healthcare team to enhance patient care strategies, ensuring consistency in treatment and communication.
• Incorporate innovative therapy techniques and technologies in therapeutic sessions, aimed at improving mobility and pain management.
• Consult with and educate patients and their caregivers on treatment protocols and home exercise programs, promoting ongoing participation in their recovery process.
• Meet or exceed established utilization goals and other organizational objectives, contributing to both the clinic's growth and patient success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, pediatric patients, neurologic conditions, and athletes requiring specialized sports medicine therapy. This diverse caseload allows for professional growth and the opportunity to develop specialized skills tailored to individual patient needs, helping to enrich their lives and restore functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program is required, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with patients and their families.
• Proficient in computer skills, ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication within clinical software systems.

Preferred Experience

Experience in home care, particularly with orthopedic therapy, will be highly valued. A proven track record of developing personalized therapy plans and achieving successful patient outcomes will distinguish candidates.
