Position Overview Position Location: This role supports our Fremont, CA branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater San Francisco, CA area. Our Smart Buildings team focuses on creating efficient, safe, adaptable, and responsible environments. The Service Sales Executive will support our Service Agreements business within the commercial Smart Buildings Total Fire Alarm & Life Safety Service team, working closely with Operations to perform fire/life safety service and maintenance in large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities Achieve new order/booking and profit goals based on an assigned quota. Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, including forecasted order intake, and deliver on results consistently. Build a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals; stay current on automation, electrical, fire, mechanical, and IoT market trends. Create and execute vertical market and account management plans focused on strategic growth; identify new business opportunities, develop "go to market" strategies, and target key segments. Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization, recommending services to ensure building systems perform as required. Attend industry-specific networking events and active professional organizations such as NFPA, NFSA, ASHE, NBFAA, AFAA, IFMA, SAME, 7x24, ASHRAE, AEE, USGBC, and others to build contacts and represent Siemens. Consult with customers to determine budgeting and investment requirements. Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers by highlighting world‑class digital service delivery. Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes. Work with internal sales support to maximize customer engagement time. Collaborate with sales estimators to prepare cost estimates and bid packages. Partner with other sales business teams to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts. Set pricing based on the identified value of services offered to the customer. Coordinate with operations, finance, legal and other resources to finalize sales. Participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on market, business, and product trends. Spend a minimum of 50% of time on customer‑facing activities, performed in person and on customer sites. Support existing customers while actively hunting for new business opportunities. Travel overnight approximately 10% for training and business development as required. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED. 2+ years of sales experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with demonstrated customer‑facing sales experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Experience with Microsoft Office suite. Minimum age 21 and a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements for Siemens’ fleet vehicle program. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering. Experience selling service agreements to multiple levels within customer organizations. On‑the‑job experience with e‑estimating and selling technical solutions and service offerings independently. Working knowledge of common fire and life safety systems and equipment. Familiarity with building life safety inspection codes and standards (IFC, IBC, NFPA, CMS, etc.). Compensation The pay range for this position is $62,903 – $107,834 annually plus an uncapped sales incentive structure. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
