Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients using the nursing process and established standards
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to changes in condition with critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Collect and document relevant patient data; develop and implement care plans; evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team; assist in discharge planning
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and self-care; provide learning opportunities for team members
- Delegate appropriately and supervise the activities of nursing staff while maintaining a safe, healing environment

Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice (California)
- CPR/BLS certification required; Basic Life Support from an approved vendor per policy
- ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) and PALS (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
- Minimum two years of recent ICU/acute care experience
- BSN: Preferred
- Ability to work in an ICU within a hospital setting and to participate in a 12-hour shift schedule
