Director of Finance & AccountingAn established and growing construction-focused organization is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee all accounting and financial operations.Lead the accounting and finance function while providing strategic financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and business analysis to support continued company growth.This is an immediate full-time leadership opportunity for a qualified finance executive.Onsite within a collaborative office environment supporting construction and operational leadership.This role offers the opportunity to influence executive decision-making and drive the financial success of a rapidly growing organization.Professional, collaborative, fast-paced, and team-oriented with close interaction between finance, operations, and executive leadership.$150,000 - $200,000 annually, plus performance bonus, depending on experience.Position OverviewWe are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance & Accounting to lead all accounting operations while providing financial leadership, planning, and analysis to support a growing construction-related business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes.Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.Oversee job costing, project accounting, profitability analysis, and operational reporting.Partner with executive and operations leadership to drive strategic financial decisions.Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.Experience in residential construction, homebuilding, commercial construction, real estate development, or a related industry.Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.Advanced Excel skills with experience in job costing, project accounting, and financial leadership.Preferred QualificationsMBA preferred.CPA preferred but not required.Previous experience as a Director of Finance, Controller, or Finance Director.Experience working within privately held or entrepreneurial organizations.Experience with construction ERP systems and project accounting software.Ideal CandidateHands-on finance leader who enjoys balancing strategic planning with daily accounting operations.Strong business partner capable of translating financial data into actionable insights.Experienced leading accounting teams in fast-growing, project-based organizations.Highly analytical with exceptional financial modeling and decision-making abilities.Collaborative leader who builds relationships across finance, operations, and executive leadership.If you're interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to discuss your qualifications, please apply now.Feel free to share this opportunity with anyone in your network who might be a good fit!
