Bilingual Dental Assistant

Our Familia Dental office in Racine is looking for dedicated candidates to join the team as Dental Assistants. On‑the‑job training is provided, so certification is not required. Job Purpose Assist the dentist in providing dental care to patients and promote Familia Dental’s culture and mission. Responsibilities Welcome and escort patients from the reception area to treatment areas. Ensure treatment rooms are equipped, stocked, and restocked when necessary. Take and record patients’ medical and dental histories and vital signs. Document all dental procedures performed during each visit per dentist instructions and legal requirements. Take and develop dental diagnostic x‑rays. Pour and base diagnostic models and fabricate temporary restorations (as allowed by state law). Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist dentist during procedures. Provide dental education and information to patients on oral hygiene and nutrition. Notify office manager of equipment trouble or safety concerns. Attend morning huddles, chart reviews, and regular office meetings. Recognize and be sensitive to patients’ emotions. Follow company policies, procedures, state and federal laws related to a dental office. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Exceptional customer/patient service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills. Basic computer knowledge and experience with dental management software; Denticon experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment. Detail oriented. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Meet state requirements for DA duties, continuing education, or license; Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and radiography certificates required. Dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
