* Locals only! Must live in a reasonable commuting distance from the facility location!

* No Travelers!

1st shift (B) - 6am-230pm

Valid Class C driver's license.

Duties:

Job Summary:
The Transportation Technician is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery and pickup of sterilized surgical instruments between clients facilities and customer locations. This role serves as the face of the company in the field and plays a critical part in upholding service standards, customer satisfaction, and operational reliability. The position requires precision, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and exceptional client service.

Job Responsibilities:
-Safely operate a company vehicle (van or truck) to transport instrument supply carts and totes along assigned routes.
-Follow GPS navigation and routing systems to ensure efficient deliveries and pickups.
-Load and unload instruments and products with care to maintain item integrity.
-Obtain signatures on Proof of Delivery (POD) and other required documents.
-Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with customers, acting as Clients daily on-site representative.
-Report customer feedback and issues to the site management team in a timely manner.
-Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and basic maintenance checks.
-Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company driving standards.
-Accurately track and log deliveries, fuel usage, and maintenance needs.
-Comply with all safety, infection prevention, and PPE requirements when handling biohazardous items.
-Maintain cleanliness of the assigned vehicle according to company standards.
-Participate in internal meetings and communicate suggestions for process improvements.
-Assist with other logistics or operational tasks as assigned.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
100% local travel (no overnight stays). Daily start and end at the assigned Clients facility.

Working Conditions:
Frequent driving and outdoor exposure. Occasional exposure to traffic, inclement weather, and healthcare environments.

Skills:

Required Skills & Experience:
-One (1) year of experience in commercial or route-based driving.
-Strong navigation and route optimization skills using GPS and routing software.
-Ability to push or pull loaded carts up to Four Hundred (400) lbs.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-Attention to detail and a high level of responsibility.
-Ability to follow procedures, complete documentation accurately, and meet timelines.
-Familiarity with safety regulations and infection control procedures.
-Willingness to wear PPE and comply with customer site credentialing requirements.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
-Previous customer service or client-facing experience.

Education:

Required Education:

-High School Diploma.
OR
-Equivalent.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-Valid Class C driver's license.
-Clean driving record (MVR); subject to periodic DMV and/or DOT checks.
