Sr Marketing Journey & Audience Strategy Lead

Overview Senior Marketing Journey & Audience Lead Strategist – Marketing Strategy Team, Pacific Life, Newport Beach, CA. Hybrid role: 4 in‑office, 1 remote. Individual contributor shaping audience & journey strategies across Life Insurance & Annuities to improve campaign effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Lead audience and journey strategy across Life Insurance and Annuity GTM initiatives. Develop scalable audience & journey frameworks for seamless multichannel experiences. Design, orchestrate and optimize marketing journeys to enhance engagement, lead quality, conversion, and overall performance. Translate business objectives into audience definitions, journey logic, technical requirements. Align Strategists around a portfolio‑level approach to audience and journey planning. Evaluate & manage audience overlap, fatigue, lead flow, and prioritization trade‑offs. Collaborate with Relationship Marketing, Data Analytics, Digital Execution, and others to activate campaigns, refine targeting and resolve execution challenges. Improve visibility, orchestration and performance across CRM and marketing technology platforms. Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, collaboration models and operational effectiveness. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of B2B marketing experience with audience strategy, segmentation, customer journey orchestration, multichannel campaign planning. Proven success developing data‑driven strategies that improve engagement, lead quality, conversion and performance. Strong understanding of CRM, marketing automation, customer journey platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketing Cloud). Experience translating business objectives into audience logic, journey rules, technical requirements and scalable execution plans. Demonstrated ability to partner with Data Analytics, Digital Execution, Sales, and Marketing teams. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem‑solving skills; uses data, testing, insights for continuous improvement. Balanced strategic and execution mindset with operational excellence. Excellent communication and presentation skills for influencing stakeholders and senior leadership. Strong organizational and prioritization skills; manages multiple initiatives amid ambiguity. Desired/Additional Experience Background in financial services or marketing to financial advisors. Experience building audience & journey strategies across multiple campaigns. Interest in emerging AI and automation capabilities for marketing workflows. Hands‑on experience with CRM, marketing automation, workflow platforms such as Adobe Workfront. Ability to simplify complex challenges and create practical, scalable solutions. Experience in highly cross‑functional environments where influence and alignment are critical.
