Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Armed Security Guard role based in Detroit, MI. The Armed Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring premises, and conducting regular patrols to deter and detect suspicious activity. Daily tasks include controlling access points, checking identification when required, and enforcing site rules and regulations in a professional and respectful manner. The role involves responding to alarms and incidents, de-escalating conflicts when possible, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. The Armed Security Guard will complete incident reports, maintain accurate logs, and follow all safety, firearm handling, and company protocols to protect clients, visitors, and property.
Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to maintain situational awareness, identify potential risks, and respond calmly and effectively under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members and to de-escalate tense situations.
Proven reliability and integrity, including a strong attendance record and commitment to following company policies and legal requirements.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is strongly preferred.
Valid state-required security guard license and all necessary firearm permits or credentials, or eligibility and willingness to obtain them as required by law.
Clean background check, authorization to work in the United States, and a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Commitment to ongoing training in areas such as use-of-force protocols, emergency response, customer service, and conflict resolution.
