US Payroll Specialist

I’m partnering with a great client who is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their Global Payroll team!
New York City | Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
$70–$75/hour
6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent
This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong hands-on experience with U.S. payroll and Workday Payroll.
What we’re looking for:
✔️ 6+ years of payroll experience
✔️ Hands-on, full-cycle U.S. payroll processing using Workday Payroll
✔️ Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
✔️ Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance
✔️ Strong understanding of payroll accounting, including GL, journal entries, debits/credits
✔️ Experience working with payroll vendors and cross-functional teams
✔️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
⭐ CPP certification is a plus
In this role, you'll help oversee U.S. payroll operations, coordinate with external payroll providers, support a small Amsterdam payroll, provide guidance to payroll consultants, and partner with Finance, HR, Legal, and other key stakeholders.
