Director, Transformation Squad Lead
Merck
This Director role leads a transformation team driving commercial model innovation across Merck's Human Health division. The position combines strategic oversight of enterprise initiatives with hands-on team leadership, focusing on AI-enabled capabilities, agile operations, and scaled organizational change.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach Associate Directors team to deliver high performance across transformation initiatives
- Own transformation portfolio aligned to enterprise strategy, managing end-to-end deployment and value realization
- Translate enterprise strategy into coherent transformation roadmap sequenced for maximum impact
- Design, execute, and scale pilots into repeatable playbooks for enterprise-wide adoption
- Establish governance and reporting to track progress, risks, and value delivery across initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree minimum; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years industry experience with 5+ years in transformation or strategic planning
- Proven people manager experienced leading cross-functional teams in matrixed environments
- Demonstrated change management expertise executing transformation across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, work in ambiguous environments, and partner with external vendors
- Strong executive presence, communication skills, and understanding of compliance concepts
- Experience with digital, AI, or data-driven transformation preferred
