About the Job Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our team in a direct-hire capacity. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a small business environment and enjoys taking ownership of a wide range of financial and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable wearing many hats in a collaborative office setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and management summaries using Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Handle invoicing, including parts and labor billing.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Support office operations and provide administrative assistance as needed.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
- Collaborate with leadership on financial planning and business operations.
- Bookkeeper Certification OR Associate's Degree in Accounting.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including spreadsheet creation and reporting.
- Experience working in a small business environment.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced office setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- 3+ years of experience working in an accounting firm.
- Enrolled Agent designation or experience with business tax preparation/compliance.
- Prior leadership or management experience.
- Strategic planning experience.
