Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney

Job Description Job Description Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm in its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level associate to join a sophisticated commercial real estate practice, with a particular focus on commercial leasing transactions. Position Overview: The associate will support a high-performing real estate group representing institutional owners and operators in complex commercial leasing matters. The role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial real estate transactions and the opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial lease agreements and related documents Support institutional clients, including owners, landlords, and operators, in sophisticated leasing transactions Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction management Collaborate with cross-functional teams on broader real estate matters as needed Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school 2–6 years of relevant experience, with some exposure to commercial leasing preferred Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a team-oriented environment Compensation & Benefits: The expected salary range for this position is $235,000 to $390,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
