SourceCo is a technology-enabled M&A advisory firm that helps institutional buyers, private equity firms, family offices, independent sponsors, and strategic acquirers, source and execute acquisitions in the lower middle market ($500K–$10M EBITDA).

We run three engines: retained buy-side search, a proprietary marketplace and remarketing platform, and an AI-native technology stack that manages the full deal sourcing lifecycle, target identification, multi-channel outreach, scoring, document automation, call intelligence, and pipeline analytics.

Our philosophy is simple: small team, big output. We’ve invested heavily in AI-native best practices, data infrastructure, and go-to-market optimization and now we’re expanding the team. You’ll inherit a strong foundation from our data warehouse and the systems built around it. What we need is a self-starter who gets excited to build, doesn’t wait to be told what to do, and wakes up thinking about how to generate more high-quality meetings, create better pipeline, and grow.

Role Summary

The GTM Engineer is the person who turns our AI infrastructure into results, more meetings booked, higher-quality pipeline, faster deal flow. You’ll report directly to the CEO and work alongside our advisory team and deal sourcing operation.

We’re a Claude-native organization. Claude is embedded across our entire operation, deal sourcing, buyer matching, outreach, call intelligence, scoring, internal tooling. If that excites you, keep reading. We want someone who shares that conviction, who sees what Claude and AI-native systems can do for go-to-market and wants to be at the center of it.

We’re wide open on background. You might come from RevOps and know GTM systems inside out. Or you might be a salesperson who taught yourself Claude Code on nights and weekends because you couldn’t stop thinking about how to make your pipeline better. Either way, we want to talk to you. This technology is new, the playbook is still being written, and we care about what you can do, not what your last title was.

No M&A or finance experience required, we don’t expect it. What we want is someone who’s genuinely curious about how deals get done, how private equity works, and how companies get bought and sold. We’ll teach you the industry. The learning curve is steep, intentional, and one of the best parts of the job.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Pipeline Growth

• Own the output metrics that matter: meetings booked, qualified pipeline generated, and conversion rates across every outreach channel

• Optimize and scale our multi-channel outreach systems, cold calling, email sequencing, and LinkedIn, to drive more high-quality conversations with business owners and decision-makers

• Continuously test and improve targeting, messaging, sequencing, and timing to increase response rates and meeting quality

• Build and refine lead scoring models that prioritize the right targets and eliminate wasted effort

• Identify new channels, data sources, and automation opportunities that expand our reach

AI & Automation

• Leverage and extend our Claude-powered workflows for deal sourcing, lead qualification, call scoring, content generation, and outbound sequencing

• Use Claude Code to build, test, and deploy new automations and tools that make the team faster and the pipeline stronger

• Build and maintain prompt libraries, agent configurations, and context engineering systems that compound in effectiveness over time

• Identify manual processes and systematically replace them with AI-driven automation

• Stay current on new AI capabilities and translate them into production workflows within days, not months

Data, Analytics & Operations

• Build and maintain dashboards tracking pipeline health, outreach performance, enrichment accuracy, and conversion metrics

• Create per-rep performance views, calls made, meetings booked, connect rates, and outreach quality, that drive accountability and coaching

• Own the integration layer between systems, CRM, dialer, email sequencing, LinkedIn outreach, call recording, and document management

• Monitor data integrity across systems and troubleshoot issues in real time

• Onboard new team members onto GTM tools and workflows

QualificationsWhat Matters Most

• Experience with Claude Code, whether professionally or self-taught, you’ve used it to build real tools, workflows, or automations

• A competitive, results-driven mindset, you care about meetings booked, deals closed, and pipeline generated

• Self-starter mentality, you see what needs to be built and you build it without waiting for direction

• Comfort with AI tools and the ability to learn new platforms quickly, you understand how to use LLMs, automation tools, and data systems to solve business problems

• A competitive streak and a feel for sales, you get excited about closing deals, understand what drives pipeline, and know what makes outreach actually convert

• Strong communication, you can talk to dealmakers, investors, and developers and be effective with all of them

• Curiosity about M&A, private equity, and finance, you don’t need to know it yet, but you want to learn it

Nice to Have

• Experience with B2B GTM tools like HubSpot, Instantly, PhoneBurner, Smartlead, HeyReach, Fireflies, Clay, or similar platforms

• Familiarity with workflow automation tools like n8n, Zapier, or Make

• Experience in sales, business development, or a revenue-facing role

• SQL or basic coding skills for data analysis, helpful but not required

• Experience in a high-growth or startup environment where you wore multiple hats

Compensation & Benefits

• $75,000–$120,000 base salary

• Uncapped deal close bonuses—up to $100,000+ annually based on deal participation and impact
