Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse in this long-term care setting provides skilled nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, resident assessments, and monitoring changes in patient condition. This role requires effective communication with physicians, families, and staff, leadership on the floor, and accurate documentation to ensure high-quality resident care. Responsibilities:

• Communicate timely and effectively with physicians, families, and other care providers regarding significant changes in resident condition.
• Complete all applicable resident assessments accurately and on schedule.
• Administer medications following the 5 Rights principle.
• Perform wound care and assessments as required.
• Assist Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with answering call lights and resident needs.
• Monitor residents closely for any changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Act as a leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed.
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
• Maintain accurate and thorough resident records and documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support resident care and facility operations.

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum of a two-year degree in nursing; four-year degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience in long-term care or nursing home settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

• Must be able to respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.
• Responsible for reporting any suspected abuse or neglect immediately.
• Role involves leadership responsibilities on the nursing floor.

• Full-time position with PM and day shifts.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend.
