Line Cook Manager

Risbo is an elevated fast-casual rotisserie restaurant with a full bar in the heart of Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. A French Rotisserie is first and foremost a rotisserie “à la broche” — on the spit. We roast all of our meats on a spit, in true tradition, to bring a little French flavor to Brooklyn cuisine. This type of spindle turning, where the meat is marinated and roasted, allows us to offer you high-quality cooking. We offer a multitude of dishes and meats on the spit, featuring roasted chicken, leg of lamb, pork shoulder, duck, and whole branzino. 

We are looking for a LINE COOK MANAGER for our dinner service.
FULL TIME position (40h per week)
Attractive schedule with early close. 3pm-11pm (we close the kitchen at 10pm) 
5 days a week. Schedule Tuesday-Sunday (3pm-close)

$23-26/hr depending on expereince, Paid Vacation. Free Staff Meal.

Responisbilties:
Inspect delivery of food to ensure product is of the highest level of quality
Manage cooks in their daily responsibilities, providing clear, effective direction
Ensure that all items are prepared properly and timely for service daily
Act as lead on the line during rushes to maintain a steady service
Train all new hires on the expectations of the kitchen, recipes, quality and presentation
Collaborate with head Chef on menu development, holiday items, special events and promotions

Requirements:
Able to lift 50+ lbs. 3-4 years line cook and management experience.
Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work at a fast pace with accuracy and efficiency.
Passion for exceptional hospitality, food, and beverages.
Know how to make: a soup, a stew, a jus, a stock, a vinaigrette, a mayonnaise, etc..
Must be able to follow recipes.
Be able to multi-task and remain communicative with the team during busy nights.
High level understanding of cooking temperatures (Rotisserie Protein).
Keeps space clean and organized as directed.
Knowledge of food preparation and ingredients.
Efficient knife skills.
Team player.
Food Handlers Certified.
Must be proficient English speaking.
Must have weekend availability.
