Buyer/Planner

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Buyer/Planner – Distribution/Packaging to join their team. This role is critical to ensuring efficient inventory flow, accurate planning, and strong vendor partnerships across a multi-site operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-SKU environment and enjoys balancing purchasing execution with data-driven planning and forecasting. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day purchasing activities across multiple product categories and locations. Analyze inventory levels, demand trends, and forecast requirements to maintain optimal stock levels. Own the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, tracking, and resolution of delays or discrepancies. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, and finance teams to align inventory strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating timelines and resolving supply challenges. Monitor backorders, expedite critical shipments, and proactively manage supply disruptions. Maintain accurate item data, inventory records, and planning parameters. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain efficiency and inventory optimization. Utilize Excel tools (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) to analyze data and drive decision-making. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business management, or related discipline. 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory planning. Hands‑on experience with inventory management and demand forecasting. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Experience working in a distribution or multi‑site environment. Background in packaging, industrial distribution, or related industries. Compensation Range $75,000 - $95,000 + 7% Bonus Benefits Offered 2 weeks of vacation, paid sick leave where applicable by state law, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance Vision Insurance, 401K, and Life Insurance.
